HEALTHY HOUSE CHECKLIST APP
USER INFORMATION & PRIVACY POLICY
How does it work?
The App accesses images of ACMs from the Website to aid in identifying possible ACMs in homes. With the App, users can:
- Create a record/report of possible ACMs in properties by taking images of products that then form part of their HHC report – this is one of the key features of the App;
- Use the provided step-by-step instructions to take them through the visual inspection process HCC (form/report). A list of questions prompts users to help them identify the locations of suspected ACMs;
- Photograph products using smart phones or tablets, store these images in their HCC/report to refer to before undertaking maintenance or renovations, and print a report for persons engaged in any work on their property; and
- Set reminders so they can monitor any possible ACM for wear and tear or maintenance such as re-painting so asbestos remains sealed and undisturbed.
Collection and Storage of Data
The information and images provided by the user is for the purpose of assisting them in identifying and managing ACMs safely. The information and images:
- will not be distributed to third parties or published on the Website or its image database but will be stored encrypted on the Website.
- be accessible by only the submitting user and the administrators of the Website and App, not by anyone outside the user’s HHC/report process. Each HCC/report is protected by the user’s unique ID and encrypted password of the phone or tablet which the App automatically creates as a unique identifier when the user first logs on.
Any data collected and stored on the Website as a result of using the App will be collated with users remaining anonymous to maintain their privacy. However, for research purposes only, the data collected may be used for the purposes of analysing and collating statistics relating to the various possible ACM product types, their uses, locations and the regions where products have been identified. No personal information will be included in the data or disclosed to third parties including during any data analysis.
